Join us for a re-enactment of the events surrounding the birth of Jesus, involving children and adults. Come as you are, no rehearsal needed!
Christmas Brunch follows the service.

Good Friday Worship - SINGERS NEEDED!

We will be singing 3 movements from J. Rutter’s “Requiem”.
There will be 4 rehearsals, March 31st, April 7th, April 14th @ 3pm, and April 17th @ 7pm.
Asset Management Workshop
We will have a special opportunity, as a whole congregation, to take a serious look at our Mission, and our pooled gifts, resources, strengths, and interests in an “Asset Management Workshop” led by Dennis Goins. This is the first step we are taking along with a cohort of other local Lutheran churches, to brainstorm and develop our existing resources into a sustainable ministry that will help us continue our amazing ministry.

Advent Concert
Directed by Brad Hagen, come see the Redeemer Community Choir perform new and favorite pieces, centered around Kurt Bestor’s “The Prayer of the Children”.
Donations made to this concert will go toward the needs of child and youth refugees through Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services.
Craft & Wreath Sale
L’Arch Tahoma Hope members will be at Redeemer on Sunday December 2nd after both services for a craft and wreath sale. We look forward to supporting this ministry every year.

Halloween Trick or Treat
We will be handing candy bars out on Halloween night starting at 5:30. If you would like to help, please come! Trick or Treaters are also invited to bring canned food to donate to the food bank.
We still need full size candy bars! There is a collection box in the Church office for all candy donations.
Re-Dedication Ceremony
Our steeple sits atop our Church once again!
Everyone is invited -- all residents of Fircrest and nearby, church members, officials, businesses, teachers, students, etc. -- to attend our Steeple Re-dedication Ceremony and Reception! It's been over a year, and we are excited to see one of Fircrest's landmarks restored and repaired. There will be hymns, special musicians, speakers, and food.
No 10:30am service. There will be an 8:00am service, and a dedication service at 3:00pm. Reception to follow.
Adult Bible Study for New Members & Visitors
A four-week Bible study of Jesus. Who was he? What did he do? What did it mean? Who is he to me?
Lead by Frank Lewis.
Community Choir: "Prayer of the Children," 1st Rehearsal
All area singers are invited to join our 2018 Advent Community Choir!
First Rehearsal: Sept. 30, 3PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Music will be handed out as we quickly run through each piece. This will be followed by rehearsals in November.
The Concert will be on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7PM.
The theme and centerpiece will be Kurt Bestor's "The Prayer of the Children," along with other new and favorite pieces.
There will be a children's choir and special music.

Compassion Weekend
Saturday 9:00 AM - Kickoff at Redeemer. Everyone meet for coffee, bear claws, and a sending off prayer.
Sunday Morning - No worship at either church. We are serving our Lord out in the community!
Sunday 4:00 PM - Worship service with communion at Redeemer. Salad potluck immediately following. Redeemer brings salads, and Fircrest Presbyterian brings desserts.
Many projects both Saturday and Sunday to choose from. Please sign up in the Fellowship Hall and join the fun!
Partnering with Fircrest Presbyterian Church, members and friends of Redeemer Lutheran Church provide service to those in the community at this annual weekend event. Past projects have included; meal service at the Rescue Mision, making hygiene packets for Nativity House, making and delivering cookies for local law enforcement and fire staff, completion of quilts for Lutheran World Relief and ‘No Sew’ blankets for the Step by Step program at Purdy Women’s Corrections Facility, building garden beds, food bank donation delivery, singing at Tacoma Lutheran Home, and trash collection from community streets and parks. Lastly, participants gather for fellowship and to worship and praise God for the way He works through each to care for others.
