Education Ministry

The Education Ministry's mission is "To provide a welcoming community growing in faith to know, love and serve God". We have the village necessary to raise children, and now we are looking forward to all of the smiling faces that you and God will bring us.

Sunday School (Storykeepers)

What we're up to

We had a busy February learning about being Disciples and how Jesus called his 12. Ask a Storykeeper what 52 MAB T’s stands for. We had fun painting our forms and learning from adults how God had called them for we are all disciples. Next month we will be studying about Zaccheus. The Wee Storykeepers will be learning about Jesus Rising and about being Joyful. Thanks to all of our adults who have helped our Sunday School grow, teachers, Board and Design Committee.

Confirmation

Confirmation classes are focusing on the Apostles, the Early Church and the New Testament Letters. Class meets on Sunday evenings from 5:00 - 6:15 p.m. in the church library.

March Schedule: Classes will be held on 3/7, 3/14, 3/21

Adult Class

Lent Adult Forums

Sunday mornings, Feb. 28th through Mar. 28th, 9:15 a.m.

Years ago, I encountered a very powerful book, ‘The Life of Christ in Stereo’ by Johnston M. Cheney. Quite simply it’s the four Gospels woven together to read chronologically. I’ve used the book in studies for Advent and group devotions, but never for Lenten studies. It’ll be exciting to walk with Jesus from the time He turned to face the Cross (Matt. 16-18) through His victorious Resurrection (John 20-21)! We’ll furnish Scripture from The Message, plus discussion questions, and you’ll also use your favorite Bible translation. Come join Ken and me in the library/conference room from 9:15-10:15 during the five Sundays beginning Feb. 28th.

Thursday Morning Bible Study

Come study the bible with a great group each Thursday morning, 10 a.m. in the conference room. We are studying Proverbs - a collection of wise sayings, much like a modern anthology of poetry.

Parish Pals

We're looking for more Parish Pals to partner with the children and youth of our congregation.  Parish Pals will pray for their partner, seek them out at chruch, form a relationship, and attend Sunday School together a few times a year.  A great way to get to know our young people!  To become a Parish Pal, please contact Marilyn Lewis.
